Black & Decker Smartbrew Coffeemaker.

I designed the SmartBrew Coffeemaker for Black & Decker in 1998. The design features a flip top lid which allows easy access to the coffee basket and reservoir, and a "Perfect Pour" carafe with ergonomic handle. Because the housing was designed to be molded in only two pieces, the manufacturing cost is very low. The SmartBrew Coffeemaker costs $19.99, or $28.99 for the programmable model, and is rated #1 by Consumer Reports Magazine.
